Actor Jr NTR recently shared a heartwarming story from his trip to Japan, where his film Devara: Part 1 has been making waves among fans. In a social media post, he revealed that a Japanese fan had learned Telugu, his native language, after watching his hit film RRR.

Jr NTR Touched by Japanese Fan Who Learned Telugu

The actor shared his heartfelt emotions, revealing that the fan’s gesture deeply affected him. He wrote, “My visits to Japan always create beautiful memories, but this one was different. Hearing a Japanese fan tell me she learned Telugu after watching RRR truly moved me.”

Jr NTR also highlighted the power of cinema in bridging cultural divides and inspiring language learning. He shared, “As a lover of cinema and languages, I believe in the incredible ability of cinema to unite cultures and inspire fans to learn new languages. This is something I’ll never forget. It’s another reason to celebrate Indian Cinema as it makes its mark around the world.”

In the video, while signing autographs for fans, one fan tells him, “Anna, nenu RRR chusina taravata Telugu nerchukunnanu. (Brother, I learned Telugu after watching RRR).” Surprised, Jr NTR exclaims, “Wow!” The fan then explains how she watched his film two years ago, switches to speaking in Japanese, and calls him an ‘inspiration.’ Jr NTR responds, “You’re a bigger inspiration than all of us.”.

Devara: Part 1 to Release in Japan

Jr NTR is currently in Japan for the release of Devara: Part 1. The actor shared a video clip on his social media, showcasing his experience at an event in Japan, where his excited fans were seen cheering for him. “Overwhelmed, Japan! Can’t wait for the Japanese audience to experience #Devara in cinemas from March 28th,” he wrote.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part 1 marks Jr NTR’s return to the big screen after his historic Golden Globe and Oscar success with RRR. In this film, Tarak takes on a dual role, portraying the characters of Devara and Varadha. The story unfolds around a dramatic clash of wills set in a coastal backdrop, where power dynamics constantly shift. The film was released in India on September 27th 2024 in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. It also boasts an ensemble cast featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
