HCA Awards 2023 issues a clarification statement about the absence of Jr. NTR

The big and multiple win of RRR at the HCA (Hollywood Critics Association) Awards 2023 was truly a big moment for the Indian film industry. From S.S. Rajamouli to the entire music, stunt team along with leading man Ram Charan were a part of the awards and the latter was even invited on stage along with Rajamouli to receive one of the five awards that the film won. However, fans were quite shocked when Jr. NTR was missing from the ceremony and questioned the organizers on social media and the latter have now responded to the same.

Fans were left conspicuous about the absence of Jr. NTR at the HCA Awards 2023 and organizers took to social media to clarify that the actor was busy with his professional commitments. In fact, they also insisted that he will be receiving an award too. In the statement issued by them, they said, “Dear RRR fans & supporters, we did invite N. T. Rama Rao Jr. to attend the #HCAFilmAwards but he is shooting a new film in India. He will be receiving his awards from us shortly. Thank you for all your love and support. Sincerely, the Hollywood Critics Association”.

Some fans even mentioned that a death in the family of Jr. NTR was the reason behind him not attending the awards. Further adding to it, the organizers said, “He was originally shooting a movie which is why he couldn’t attend. His brother passing happened afterwards and is why he stepped away from the movie. This is what his publicist told us.”

Jr. NTR has attended most of the awards in the USA including the Golden Globe. The actor is expected to be flying down for the Oscars 2023 too wherein RRR’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’ has been nominated for the Best Original Song category.

As for the HCA Awards 2023, RRR received awards for Best International Film, Best Action Film, Best Stunts, and Best Original Song along with the Spotlight Award.
