Suriya 43: Sudha Kongara’s Next Collaboration with Suriya Gears Up for January 2024 Shoot

Suriya, an actor of immense prominence and unparalleled commitment, is set to reunite with director Sudha Kongara for their much-anticipated venture tentatively titled “Suriya 43.” The news of this collaboration between the actor-director duo has ignited fervent excitement among fans, eagerly anticipating another cinematic masterpiece.

The latest industry buzz, shared by industry tracker Amrutha Bharathi, hints at the commencement of filming for “Suriya 43” scheduled for January 2024, initiating its inaugural schedule at the Madurai American College. This announcement has further heightened the anticipation surrounding this promising project.

The anticipation for “Suriya 43” is amplified owing to the success of their previous collaboration, the 2021 film “Soorarai Pottru.” The acclaimed film garnered numerous accolades at the National Awards, including recognition for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Feature Film, Best Music Direction – Score, and Best Screenplay.

Director Sudha Kongara has previously mentioned the challenges of crafting “Suriya 43,” emphasizing its distinctiveness as an original narrative, diverging from the biopic genre. Adding to the excitement, reports surfaced in late October indicating an ensemble cast, including Nazriya Nazim, Dulquer Salmaan, and Vijay Varma in pivotal roles.

Marking a significant milestone, the music for “Suriya 43” will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar, marking his 100th film. Kumar’s musical prowess was also integral to the success of the 2021 film. Reports suggest that Suriya’s character will portray a college student with the film carrying a political undercurrent. The project falls under the banner of 2D Entertainment, helmed by Suriya and Jyothika.

In addition to “Suriya 43,” the versatile actor Suriya is set to grace the screen in Siva’s forthcoming period action film titled “Kanguva.” This film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Jagapathi Babu, and Yogi Babu, among others, in prominent roles.

Despite a minor setback due to an injury sustained while filming, Suriya has recovered swiftly and is expected to resume shooting shortly. Notably, reports suggest that Suriya will showcase multiple roles in “Kanguva,” anticipated to be released early next year in reportedly 38 different languages.
