The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2023 unfolded in grandeur at the glitzy Dubai stage, and it was a night to remember. With the red carpet rolled out, the event witnessed the presence of top-notch celebrities from the Southern film industry. The 15th edition of SIIMA held on the 15th of this month saw Telugu and Kannada film luminaries gracing the occasion, with Tamil and Malayalam stars gearing up for their own extravaganza on the 16th.

The year 2023 had its share of standout performances, and the SIIMA awards were a testament to the talent that the South Indian film industry has to offer. Notably, NTR Jr. (also known as Tarak), the versatile actor who enthralled audiences with his role in ‘RRR,’ clinched the SIIMA Best Actor award. His portrayal as Komuram Bheem in the magnum opus ‘RRR’ earned him this coveted recognition.

On the other hand, Shree Leela, who dazzled in the movie ‘Dhamaka,’ bagged the Best Actress award. ‘Seetaramam’ emerged as the Best Film, while the visionary director Rajamouli, the mastermind behind ‘RRR,’ was honoured as the Best Director.
