South Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has completed the shooting of her upcoming web series, Citadel India. The talented actress took to her Instagram Stories to share the news and expressed her joy as she called it a “special day.” Citadel India, a spin-off of the popular spy drama Citadel, is set to release on Amazon Prime Video. Samantha will be seen alongside Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan in this highly anticipated series. The original show, created by the Russo brothers, features Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in lead roles.

Throughout the production of Citadel India, Samantha has kept her fans updated by sharing behind-the-scenes moments from the sets. In line with this tradition, she posted a selfie on her Instagram Stories to inform her followers about the wrap-up of Citadel India. She captioned the photo, “13th of July will always be a special, special day. And it’s a wrap on #CitadelIndia.”

Before this, Samantha had been shooting in Belgrade, Serbia, for Citadel India and had shared several fun moments with the crew through photos on social media. In April, she also posted pictures from the global premiere of Citadel in London, expressing her gratitude for being a part of the Citadel Universe.

However, after completing her last project, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is set to take a break from her acting career. Reports suggest that the talented actor will be focusing on her health and seeking additional treatment for Myositis, an autoimmune disease she was diagnosed with last year. Although Samantha has not made an official statement regarding her career break, she has reportedly returned advance payments to the producers she had previously worked with.

Apart from Citadel India, Samantha has several other projects in the pipeline. She is collaborating with the renowned duo Raj and DK, known for their work on The Family Man, for Citadel India. The series is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime Video in September 2023. Additionally, Samantha will be seen sharing the screen space with heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda in the film Kushi, produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The highly anticipated movie is set to release on September 1, 2023.

With the completion of the Indian leg of Citadel and the wrap-up of Kushi, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has concluded her shooting commitments. As she embarks on her well-deserved break, fans eagerly await her return to the screen, wishing her good health and a speedy recovery.
