Producer Claims Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Career Is Over, Accuses Her of Cheap Tactics to Promote Movies

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, one of the leading actresses in the Telugu film industry, has been accused of resorting to “cheap tactics” to promote her movies. Veteran producer-director Chittibabu has claimed that Samantha’s career as a “star heroine” has come to an end and that she is now doing whatever offers she is getting.

In a recent interview with Filmy Looks, Chittibabu slammed Samantha for her alleged use of cheap tactics to promote her movies. He claimed that Samantha’s career as a heroine is finished, and she cannot get back to stardom again. He further said that he was surprised to see Samantha playing the lead role in Shaakuntalam, a mythological drama film written and directed by Gunasekhar, which was released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi on April 14.

Chittibabu also criticized Samantha’s recent statements during the promotions of Yashoda and Shaakuntalam. According to him, Samantha shed tears during Yashoda’s promotions and tried to score a hit, and ahead of Shaakuntalam, she tried to get sympathy by saying that she planned to do the role before she dies and went on record that she was unable to speak as she couldn’t get her voice out of her throat.

Furthermore, Chittibabu claimed that Samantha did the “Oo Antava” item song in Pushpa’s The Rise after her divorce for her livelihood. He said that every time sentiment will not work, and if the role and film are good, people will watch. He added that all these are cheap and insane acts, and he wonders how Samantha, who lost her heroine status, suited the role of Shakuntala.

Samantha’s latest release Shaakuntalam failed to draw crowds on its first day and reportedly earned Rs 5 crores across all languages. It collected just Rs 1.5 crores on day 2 and managed to earn Rs 2 crores on day 3. Despite the poor performance of the movie, Samantha’s fans have come out in support of the actress, and many have praised her performance in the movie.
