Chiranjeevi and family begin Telugu new year with devotional celebration, wish fans HappyUgadi

Megastar Chiranjeevi and his family celebrated the Telugu new year with a devotional ceremony at their residence in Hyderabad. The family performed puja rituals and offered prayers to seek blessings for a prosperous year ahead.

Chiranjeevi shared glimpses of the celebration on his social media handles, wishing his fans and followers a #HappyUgadi. In the pictures, Chiranjeevi and his wife, Surekha, can be seen performing the puja rituals, while their son Ram Charan and daughter-in-law Upasana also participated in the celebration.

In addition to the family members, several close friends and industry colleagues of Chiranjeevi also attended the event, including actor Nagarjuna and director Koratala Siva.

Ugadi is celebrated as the Telugu New Year’s Day and falls on the first day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar’s month of Chaitra. The festival is traditionally observed by decorating houses with mango leaves and rangoli, preparing special dishes, and visiting temples to seek blessings.

Chiranjeevi, who is one of the biggest stars in the Telugu film industry, has a massive fan following not just in South India but also across the country. His fans were delighted to see him and his family celebrating the festival with such devotion and enthusiasm.

The Telugu superstar has several highly anticipated projects in the pipeline, including the upcoming film “Acharya,” which is scheduled to release in May 2023.
