Aishwarya Rajinikanth who is currently shooting for her upcoming film Lal Salaam, had earlier filed a complaint at Chennai police station after a theft at her place. Allegedly, items worth 3.60 lacs were missing from her residence in Chennai. Earlier, the suspects were her driver & domestic help.
Reportedly, the domestic help named Eswari and driver named Venkatesan have been arrested by the Teynampet police. We hear that the domestic help allegedly sold the jewellery to purchase a house. The help also knew the location about the locker because of her long tenure with the family. These reports suggest that the police has retrieved 30 kgs of diamond jewellery, 4kgs of silver, and 100 sovereigns of gold from Eswari, who has been working with Aishwarya Rajinikanth for 18 years.
Readers would recall that Aishwarya Rajinikanth had maintained in her earlier statement given to the police that she had transferred some of these jewellery items several times, from her residence to her father’s to her former husband Dhanush’s home, after purchasing it in 2019 for her sister Soundarya’s wedding. From what we hear, apart from the major chunk that was robbed recently, the house help had allegedly stolen several other expensive items in the past, over a period of time.
On the work front, Aishwarya Rajinikanth recently announced her return to direction after seven years with Lal Salaam. The filmmaker is currently busy with the film which features Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. It will also feature the director’s superstar father Rajinikanth in a cameo.
