YouTuber Gangavva, known for her entertaining videos in the Telangana dialect of the Telugu language, has been garnering fame and admiration across the Telugu-speaking states since her debut on the YouTube channel My Village Show in 2017. After gaining immense popularity through her appearances on the reality show Bigg Boss Telugu 4, Gangavva stepped foot into the Telugu film industry with supporting roles in Ismart Shankar and Godfather.

Recently, Gangavva has once again taken social media by storm, thanks to a viral picture of her alongside top Telugu star Rana Daggubati. The picture surfaced as part of the promotions for Rana Daggubati’s upcoming comedy film titled Pareshan, featuring Thiruveer of Massoda fame in the lead role. Directed by Rupak Ronaldson, the film is slated for release on June 2 and revolves around the backdrop of a rural village.

To promote the movie effectively, Rana Daggubati embarked on a promotional campaign across rural regions of Telangana. During one of these visits, he had the opportunity to meet Gangavva in her village, creating a significant buzz among fans and followers. A video capturing Rana’s interaction with the villagers, including his encounter with Gangavva, quickly went viral.

The highlight of the video is a heartwarming moment where Gangavva is seen serving Rana Daggubati a traditional rural drink called Thati Kallu. Thati Kallu, known as palm wine, is a local delicacy found in the rural areas of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The interaction between Gangavva and Rana Daggubati has left fans in awe and has generated even more anticipation for the release of the film Pareshan.

Before her rise to YouTube stardom in 2016, Gangavva worked as a cigarette roller and laboured in agricultural fields. Her journey as a content creator began when her son-in-law Srikanth Sriram approached her to appear on his Telangana-focused YouTube channel, My Village Show, which showcases the beauty of village culture and rural life. Initially making guest appearances, Gangavva transitioned into a full-time YouTuber in 2017, captivating audiences with her unique style and engaging content.

In recognition of her inspiring journey, Gangavva was honoured with the Women Achiever Award in 2020 by Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, coinciding with International Women’s Day celebrations.

The recent encounter between Gangavva and Rana Daggubati not only highlights the growing influence of social media personalities in the film industry but also showcases the significance of bridging the gap between rural and urban cultures. Gangavva’s story serves as an inspiration, reminding us of the power of determination and the potential for unexpected opportunities to arise from humble beginnings.
