Vijay attends Atlee’s wife’s baby shower

Jawan director Atlee Kumar and his wife Priya Atlee are all set to welcome their first child. Last week, the couple took to social media to announce that they’re all set to enter parenthood. On Monday, a baby shower was organized for Priya and had actor Vijay in attendance. Pictures and video of Vijay from the function have surfaced on social media.

Vijay was seen in a navy-blue shirt with rolled up sleeves and a black trouser. He was seen arriving with a big white portrait in his hand, presumably a gift for the parents-to-be. While Atlee was in a white blazer and black pants, Priya was in a white attire.

Several people in the comments section hailed Vijay’s fit look. The actor is all set to commence work on his next yet-untitled Tamil project with director Lokesh Kanagaraj from next month.

Actor Vijay and director Atlee have worked together in three hit Tamil films – Theri, Mersal and Bigil. There are reports that the duo will reunite for the fourth time next year.

Vijay is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming Tamil film Varisu, slated to hit the screens worldwide next year around Pongal. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, the project will mark Vijay’s debut in Telugu industry as the movie has been simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu. Rashmika made her Tamil debut with Karthi starrer Sulthan. This will be her second Tamil project. Varisu is all set for a major box-office clash with Ajith’s Thunivu as both the films are releasing on the same day.

After being signed for the project, Rashmika had written, “Ok now this feels like something else. Been watching sir for years and years and now to do everything that I’ve been wanting to do.. act with him, dance with him, take his nazar, talk to him.. everything .. yaaaaay finally! An absolute delight (sic),”

Vijay recently opened up on his film’s clash with Thunivu. Actor Shaam has revealed that Vijay, his co-star in Varisu, has welcomed the release of Thunivu on the same day. In the clip, Shaam talks about Vijay’s reaction when he was informed about the clash with Thunivu.

“I was recently talking to Vijay sir and I mentioned that they’ve confirmed the release of Thunivu on the same day as Varisu. He said, ‘It’s good, no? He’s also a friend. Let his film also do well and ours too. It’d be such a celebration’.” Shaam said.
