Thalapathy Vijay reunites with Trisha Krishnan for Thalapathy 67 after 14 years

Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj will be coming together yet again for the superstar’s 67th film. Tentatively titled as Thalapathy 67, the film is going to be huge, in terms of casting, technical standards, and production values. While earlier we had reported that makers are keen on featuring Trisha Krishnan as the leading lady, they have now confirmed that the Ponniyin Selvan actress will be a part of the film.

For the unversed, Thalapathy 67 will feature Trisha Krishnan and Vijay after fourteen years. It also marks their fifth film together after Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi, and Kuruvi. In fact, talking about reuniting with the superstar and working with the team of Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, the star said, “Grateful to be part of this iconic project featuring some of my favourite people and an immensely talented team. Exciting times ahead.”

The actress shared this post on her official Twitter handle, followed by another video which is a series of montages of their films together. Readers would recall that the couple also gave one of the biggest chartbusters of all times, ‘Apdi Podu’ which went on to top the global charts for its music.

Further talking about Thalapathy 67, the film is expected to feature South and Bollywood celebs like Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, and Sandy Master. Anirudh Ravichander will score the music for the movie, whereas Manoj Paramahamsa will be handling the cinematography. Philomin Raj has been roped in as the editor while N. Sathees Kumar is the art director. S. S. Lalit Kumar will be producing the movie under the banner 7 Screen Studio with Jagadish Palanisamy as the co-producer.
