Thalapathy Vijay and Sangeetha heading for a divorce?

Once again, the rumours of a rift between Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay and his wife Sangeetha have been grabbing headlines. Reportedly, it all started with Vijay’s Wikipedia page reflecting his status as divorced in 2022. Meanwhile, Sangeetha’s absence in the music launch of Vijay’s upcoming film Varisu added more fuel to the fire. However, none of it seems to be true.

A source close to the couple has confirmed that all is fine between Vijay and Sangeetha, who have been married for 22 years, as per a report by Pinkvilla. The source told the portal, “The rumours of Vijay and Sangeetha’s divorce are baseless. We have no idea how it started.”

Speaking of Sangeetha not attending the Varisu music launch and the baby shower of Atlee and Priya, which eventually added fuel to the rumours, the report stated that the star’s wife is holidaying with her kids in the US and that’s the reason she couldn’t attend any of the events. In addition, the report further added that Vijay will also join his family soon. However, it is worth mentioning here that Vijay has not spoken or issued a statement about the entire matter.

Coming to the professional front, the 48-year-old actor is gearing up for his next release, Varisu, which is slated to release on January 11, 2023. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen playing the female lead in the upcoming Tamil language film. Helmed by Vamshi Paidipally, it is produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema. Interestingly, Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu will clash with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu.
