Sivakarthikeyan is not working with director Harish Shankar and producer Dil Raju

Over the past few days, numerous media reports are speculating that Sivakarthikeyan will join hands with director Harish Shankar for a film that will be backed by Dil Raju. Ever since the rumours started floating on the internet, fans were eagerly waiting to get clarity on the matter. Well, the official statement on the speculated collaboration is finally out!

Earlier today, on December 29, Vamsi Kaka, one of the leading PROs in the Telugu film industry, shared a tweet to give an update regarding the same. With his tweet, he made it crystal clear that Sivakarthikeyan is NOT joining hands with director Harish Shankar for an upcoming film, which will be backed by Dil Raju.

“The news that Siva Karthikeyan and director Harish Shankar are joining hands for a movie in the production of Dil Raju are absolutely no true,” read his tweet.

Speaking of filmmaker Harish Shankar, he has helmed a handful of Telugu hit films such as Shaak, Kapar Singh, Duvvada Jagannatham, and Katalakonda Ganesh. Talking about his next directorial venture, it will, reportedly, be produced by Dil Raju. It is said that the shooting of the film is going to start in February next year

Coming back to Sivakarthikeyan, he was last seen in Prince, which was his maiden Telugu project. Though the project had created a lot of buzz ever since its inception, it performed poorly at the box office.

Currently, the 37-year-old actor is working on Maaveeran. Directed by Mandela-fame Madonne Ashwin, it will feature Aditi Shankar as the female lead. Besides this, Sivakarthikeyan will also make a cameo appearance in a Kamal Haasan-produced untitled film helmed by Rajkumar Periasamy.
