Samantha Ruth Prabhu has always been candid about her lifestyle choices, fitness routine, and wellness journey. After being diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune condition, the actress has battled it courageously, inspiring many along the way. Recently, Samantha shared her experience of coping with a toxic relationship — not with a person, but with her own habit.
Samantha Reflects on Her ‘Toxic Relationship’ with Her Phone
On her health podcast, Take 20, Samantha spoke about a phase in her life when she found herself in a toxic relationship with her phone. She explained how this habit started to disrupt her well-structured routine and life. Samantha revealed that despite making several positive changes, her dependency on her phone was something she couldn’t control.
She said, “I had made so many changes in my life, and I was pretty happy with the routine I had created for myself. The one thing that I couldn’t control was this… going to the phone. This relationship with my phone, which I was starting to question again, and this false sense of importance that ‘It’s my work and it has to be done.’”
How a Silence Retreat Helped Her Break the Habit
Samantha then shared how she addressed her phone dependency by attending a three-day silence retreat. She explained that the retreat, during which she refrained from using her phone and engaging in any form of communication or stimulation, helped her refocus on what truly mattered.
“I went on a silence retreat for three days without a phone, no communication, no eye contact, no reading, no writing, no stimulation of any kind. Your brain just comes down,” Samantha explained.
Samantha’s Message to Haters Who Criticise Her Appearance
A few days ago, Samantha posted a picture of herself at the gym, performing bar pull-ups, showing off her toned physique. Along with the picture, she wrote a strong message aimed at those who criticize her body for being “too skinny.”
She said, “Here’s the deal. You don’t get to call me skinny, sickly, or any of that crap unless you can do 3 of these first. If you can’t… then read between the frikkin lines…”
Samantha’s candid sharing about her personal challenges and growth continues to inspire her fans, reinforcing her commitment to mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
