Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the acclaimed actor, is all set to showcase her prowess on the silver screen with her upcoming Telugu mythological drama, Shaakuntalam. The highly anticipated movie, directed and written by Gunasekhar, is scheduled to be released on April 14. As the release date approaches, Samantha is leaving no stone unturned to create a buzz around the movie. Recently, the talented actress travelled to Mumbai to promote the movie and shared a video on social media, expressing her excitement about the film.

In the video, Samantha talked about her character Shakuntala, who is the epitome of modernity, fiercely independent and unyielding in her love and devotion. Despite the hardships she encounters during her journey, Shakuntala perseveres with grace and dignity, which resonates with Samantha’s personal values.

The film, based on the popular play Shakuntala by Kalidasa, features Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role of Shakuntala, while actor Dev Mohan portrays the role of Dushyanta, the king of the Puru Dynasty.

Apart from Shaakuntalam, Samantha will be seen in the upcoming film Kushi, opposite Vijay Deverakonda. Additionally, she has already begun working on Raj & DK’s web series Citadel India.

With her outstanding performances and versatility, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has already made a mark in the film industry, and we can’t wait to see her bring Shakuntala to life on the big screen.
