Samantha Ruth Prabhu apologises to Vijay Deverakonda fans for delaying their next Kushi

Samantha Ruth Prabhu started the second month of 2023 with a bang as the makers of Citadel India confirmed that the actress will be headlining the project. While a section of her fans is elated, many others are awaiting the update on her upcoming project, Kushi, especially fans of actor Vijay Deverakonda. For the unversed, Vijay and Samantha will be sharing the screen space in the forthcoming film.

Interestingly, the 35-year-old actress took to her verified Twitter handle and apologised to Vijay Deverakonda fans while stating that she will be resuming Kushi soon. In a tweet, shared on February 1, Samantha wrote, “#Kushi will resume very soon .. my apologies to @TheDeverakonda fans,” followed by a folded-hands emoji.

Responding to Samantha’s apology, Vijay tweeted, “We all await your return in full health and your big smile.” In the comments section, a bunch of Twitteratis agreed with Vijay and extended their support to Samanta. “We want you more energetic with charismatic smile on your face,” wrote a Twitter user, while others flooded the comment section with red-heart emojis.

Owing to Samantha’s health issues, Kushi has been delayed. Ever since she has been diagnosed with a rare skin ailment, Myositis, her projects have suffered delays. Currently, the actress is recovering from the auto-immune disease.

As per the latest buzz, Vijay’s underproduction rom-com is delayed “indefinitely”.

Talking about Kushi, directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, it was slated to release on December 23. The ensemble cast of the film will also star Jayaram, Sachin Khedakar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and Saranya. The film is said to be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Coming back to Samantha’s professional front, she is gearing up for the release of Shaakuntalam, which is scheduled to release on February 17, 2023.
