Samantha gets a temple named after her from a fan

Samantha is one of the most popular actresses in the country. She has a huge fan base across the globe. It has been a tradition among the South fans to build a temple as a tribute to their favourite actresses. Previously, temples have been made for Nayanthara, Hansika and Namitha. Now Samantha has got a temple named after her.

The temple is being made in Alapadu a village near Bapatla in Andhra Pradesh. It is under completion, made by a huge fan of the actress called Tenali Sandeep. The temple will open from April 28. The temple will have a massive idol of Samantha’s head which is the centerpiece of the place. The fan has not yet met Samantha but has been impressed by her work for charity through Pratyusha foundation.

For the unversed, Samantha’s last release was Shaakuntalam which didn’t do well at the box office. She will be next seen along with Vijay Deverakonda in the romantic drama “Khushi”,  directed by Shiva Nirvana. Samantha also has Indian “Citadel” to be directed by Raj and DK where she will appear alongside Varun Dhawan in the lead.
