Ravi Teja reveals his look of ACP Vikram Sagar in Waltair Veerayya

The anticipation for the Sankranthi 2023 Waltair Veerayya only turns higher with each new update and the latest on that front is the first look of Ravi Teja from the Bobby Kolli (K.S. Ravindra) directorial. In fact, while audiences have already caught a glimpse of Chiranjeevi and his character from the film, they were eagerly awaiting to see the characters that Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan will be essaying in it. Now, the makers of the film have unveiled the first look poster as well as an announcement teaser of Ravi Teja’s character today, on December 12 and the actor has posted about the same on his social media handle.

While Chiranjeevi will be seen in the role of a smuggler, Ravi Teja will be seen as a strong cop named ACP Vikram Sagar in Waltair Veerayya.  A source close to the film revealed details of the first look poster adding, “The makers wanted to get perfect build-up shots to give the required elevations and Bobby definitely knows how to gratify the masses.” The teaser is an action packed showcase of the character essayed by Ravi Teja which not only features some powerful action sequences but also intense background score by Rockstar DSP (Devi Sri Prasad). The teaser also features some interesting punchlines from the character essayed by Teja. For the unversed, the stunt sequences are choreographed by Ram-Lakshman.

Sharing the YouTube link of the teaser as well as a glimpse of his first look from the film, Ravi Teja took to his Twitter handle to share his excitement about being a part of the film saying, “Delighted to be sharing my First Look Teaser from #WaltairVeerayya ????? Reporting as ACP Vikram Sagar this Sankranthi.”

Talking about his character, the source added, “After Power, Bobby wanted Ravi Teja to play another power-packed role in Waltair Veerayya. He wanted him to essay a character who delights the masses with his mannerisms and dialogue delivery. The whole idea was to create a teaser that further increases the buzz on the movie and let us say that it is already making enough noise.”

Shruti Haasan will be seen as the leading lady opposite Chiranjeevi in the film. While the makers have wrapped up a major portion of the film, they are currently shooting the last song in Europe which will be picturized on Chiranjeevi and Shruti Haasan.

From the background to the songs, the music is scored by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad. The film is produced on a grand scale by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, while GK Mohan is the co-producer. Arthur A Wilson cranks the camera, whereas Niranjan Devaramane is the editor and AS Prakash is the production designer. Sushmita Konidela is the costume designer. While the story and dialogue were written by Bobby aka K S Ravinder himself, Kona Venkat and K Chakravarthy Reddy penned the screenplay. The writing department also includes Hari Mohana Krishna and Vineeth Potluri.

Waltair Veerayya will be hitting the screens worldwide on January 13, 2023.
