Fans of Naga Chaitanya aka Chay cannot wait for the actor’s much-talked-about bilingual Custody. While the film is expected to be one of the most expensive films in the career of this Akkineni boy, it is also expected to mark his debut in Tamil cinema. Readers may be aware that the makers have ensured the film has the best crew on board and for music, they have roped in the popular musician family of Ilaiyaraaja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja. Recently, Nagarjuna’s son got an opportunity to meet the maestro himself and he couldn’t hide his smile and posted about the experience on social media.

Naga Chaitanya took to Twitter as he turned fanboy after meeting Ilaiyaraaja. The Telugu star shared a photo with the maestro on his social media page along with a heartfelt note wherein he confessed about playing this moment several times in his head. In the note, he said, “Such a big smile on my face meeting the Maestro Ilaiyaraaja sir , his compositions took me through so many journeys in life .. so many times have I played out a scene in my head , pictured a script with his reference .. to now rajasir composing for #custody . Truly grateful!!”

Talking about Custody, the film features Krithi Shetty as the leading lady alongside Naga Chaitanya as the male lead. Besides them, Arvind Swami will be playing the antagonist role whereas Priyamani will be seen in a powerful role. The film also stars Sarathkumar, Sampath Raj, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Premi Vishwanath, among others. While Abburi Ravi has penned the dialogues and SR Kathir is handling the cinematography, Rajeevan is the production designer and DY Satyanarayana is the art director. Custody will have its theatrical release worldwide on May 12, 2023.
