Mamta Mohandas opens up about being diagnosed with Vitiligo

Malayalam star Mamta Mohandas, who was recently seen in the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Jana Gana Mana, has taken off to a retreat to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle.

Malayalam star Mamta Mohandas, who was recently seen in the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Jana Gana Mana, has taken off to a retreat to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle. Sharing a post about her latest getaway, the actress left netizens shocked with her revelation about being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. While Mamta shared a cryptic post about her current health condition, her hashtags included autoimmune and vitiligo, indicating that she has been diagnosed with this ailment

Mamta Mohandas took to Instagram to share a photo of her deglam avatar from the getaway and along with that she also posted a long note about losing color and requesting the sun to give her power and courage to deal with the autoimmune disease. She said, “Dear (sun emoji), I embrace you now like I have never before. So Spotted, I’m losing color… I rise even before you every morning, to see you glimmer your first ray through the haze. Give me all you’ve got.. for I will be indebted, here on out and forever by your grace.”

Followed by her post, her well-wishers and friends from the industry as well as fans took to the post to wish her well. Amongst them was her Forensic co-star Tovino Thomas and actress Srindaa who dropped heart emojis. Her colleague and co-actress Reba Monica John wrote, “You’re a fighter and you’re beautiful.” Before sharing this post, Mamta had also shared a photo of her doing weights in an earlier post wherein she had revealed about how life throws curveballs at her but she only emerges stronger. “Dear Life .. I’ve become more and more aware of this as I’m getting older. Time n time again, You throw huge curveballs at me .. sometimes, the largest ones you can find, each one a little heavier than the previous one. You see, The muscles of my willpower might not be as strong as it once used to be.. but the power of hope is greater.. the imprints in my memory of peaks I have conquered in the past is greater. So , Wait until you see my throws!”

On the work front, Mamta Mohandas is next expected to feature in the film Maheshum Maruthiyum which is directed by filmmaker Sethu and features Asif Ali as the leading man.
