Jawan director Atlee announces the arrival of his first child and it is a boy

Not too long ago, we saw Jawan director Atlee making a great announcement about his personal life. He and his actress-wife Priya were gearing up to enter the new phase of parenthood. It has been a great year for the filmmaker, considering that he will also be entering Bollywood and his directorial Hindi debut features superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. And now with the arrival of his son, the director couldn’t help but take to social media to share this news with his loved ones and fans.

Atlee and Priya announced the arrival of their baby boy in a joint post on Instagram. The adorable set of photos shared by them in this carousal post featured two pics, one in which the new parents are holding tiny baby shoes along with the announcement, ‘It’s a boy’, and another photo from their baby shower. They captioned it saying, “They were right.. There’s no feeling in the world like this.. And just like tat our baby boy is here! A new exciting adventure of parenthood starts today! Grateful. Happy. Blessed.”

Readers would recall that a few days after the couple announced their pregnancy on social media, they also hosted a traditional baby shower. The all-white themed shower was also attended by Atlee’s friend and South superstar Thalapathy Vijay.

Coming to the work commitments, Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan recently shot for their upcoming film Jawan which also stars Nayanthara as the leading lady as well as Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. The film is expected to also feature a set of other ensemble cast from the South and Bollywood industry. As for its release date, the makers have announced that it will be a pan India multi-lingual film that will hit the big screens on June 2.
