Dulquer Salmaan pens a heartbreaking note for late Sita Ramam art director Sunil Babu

Sunil Babu, a popular art director on several projects including Ghajini and Sita Ramam, passed away on Thursday night. He was 50 years old and suffered a cardiac arrest. The art director was reportedly admitted to the hospital three days ago following a swelling in his leg.  Dulquer Salmaan, who worked with Sunil Babu on Sita Ramam, expressed his sadness on social media.

Dulquer Salmaan worked with Sunil Babu on two projects – Bangalore Days and last year’s blockbuster Sita Ramam. He was the art director of both his films. Expressing his grief, the actor took to his Instagram account and penned a note which read, “Heart hurts. The kindest warmest soul who quietly went about his work with so much passion and made no noise about his immense talent. Suniletta thank you for the memories. You brought life to our films. Can’t come to terms with this. Praying for your family and all those who loved you dearly.”

Sunil Babu worked as an art director and production designer in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi industries. He worked on several projects including Thupakki, Bheeshma Parvam, Maharshi, Oopiri, Ghajini, Premam, Chota Mumbai, amongst others. In Hindi, he was a part of some of the biggest projects including Singh Is King, MS Dhoni, Paa, Lakshya, Special 26, and more.
