Aishwarya Rai stuns in new poster of Ponniyin Selvan 2, fans eagerly await trailer release

The much-awaited sequel to Mani Ratnam’s hit film, Ponniyin Selvan 1, is all set to release soon and fans are eagerly waiting for its trailer. Actor Aishwarya Rai, who plays a dual role in the film franchise, recently dropped a new poster of Ponniyin Selvan 2 on her Instagram handle, which has left her fans mesmerized.

In the poster, Aishwarya is seen lighting diyas in her enchanting look, while Vikram appears intensely looking at the distance. Aishwarya plays Queen Nandini, the princess of Pazhuvoor, who is on a mission to seek vengeance, and Mandakini Devi as well. The new poster has left fans wanting more and eagerly waiting for the trailer to release.

Sharing the poster on her Instagram handle, Aishwarya wrote, “Fire in their eyes. Love in their hearts. Blood on their swords. The Cholas will be back to fight for the throne!” Fans couldn’t help but express their excitement in the comments section, with one writing, “Waiting for your revenge, Queen,” while another added, “Can’t wait to see the beautiful Queen Nandhini.”

The trailer of Ponniyin Selvan 2 is slated to release on Wednesday, and the film’s team will unveil it in Chennai, followed by the music launch. The event will have all the cast members, including Aishwarya, and Kamal Haasan will be the special guest at the launch event. Besides Aishwarya and Vikram, the film also stars Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Trisha Krishnan. The teaser of the movie was released in December, and fans cannot wait to see what the sequel has in store for them.
