In a recent media interaction, actor Samyuktha shared her thoughts on being referred to as a ‘heroine with golden leg’ due to her recent string of hits. The actor, who was last seen in the Dhanush-starrer ‘SIR’, feels that actresses should not be labelled based on the success or failure of their films. The media interaction was held during the promotion of her latest Telugu film, ‘Virupaksha’, which was released on Friday.

The reporter mentioned that female actors in Telugu cinema are often selected based on their success rate, and if they consistently deliver successful films, they are referred to as ‘golden leg’ heroines. However, if their films fail, they are given the ‘iron leg’ tag and often get sidelined. The reporter asked Samyuktha if she agrees with the concept and if she has been receiving offers as a ‘golden leg’ heroine.

To this, Samyuktha strongly opposed the concept and stated that it is a bad idea to label actresses based on the success or failure of their films. She further added that the success of a film is a collective effort and that it is wrong to attribute it solely to luck. Samyuktha believes that the success of a film depends on several factors, including the right script, performance, and team effort.
