Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Ayalaan’ Receives ‘U’ Certification Ahead of Pongal Release

Amid heightened anticipation, Sivakarthikeyan‘s much-awaited science-fiction action spectacle, ‘Ayalaan,’ finally receives a ‘U’ certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), escalating excitement for its imminent release on January 12, coinciding with the festive occasion of Pongal.

The film’s creators took to social media platforms, specifically their official X account, to share the thrilling news, describing ‘Ayalaan’ as an intergalactic adventure promising a universal, fun-filled experience suitable for all ages.

While the official runtime remains unconfirmed by the makers, various reports suggest a duration of 155 minutes, equivalent to 2 hours and 35 minutes, ensuring an immersive journey into the realms of sci-fi extravagance.

‘Ayalaan’ orbits around an extraterrestrial entity’s accidental arrival on Earth, forming an unlikely bond with a group of humans who protect it from probing scientists seeking alternative uses for the alien’s existence.

The much-anticipated trailer launch, scheduled for January 5th, amplifies the excitement surrounding the film’s imminent release. The recent audio launch event in Chennai unveiled details about the ensemble cast and the film’s narrative, likening it to the iconic 1982 Steven Spielberg film ‘ET.’

Directed by R. Ravikumar, ‘Ayalaan’ stands as one of the most ambitious and costly projects in Sivakarthikeyan’s cinematic journey, showcasing a stellar ensemble cast including Rakul Preet Singh, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Sharad Kelkar, Bhanupriya, and more. Additionally, the eminent actor Siddharth lends his voice to the extraterrestrial character, adding an intriguing dimension to the storytelling.

The musical genius AR Rahman’s compositions contribute significantly to the film’s allure, drawing comparisons to Spielberg’s legendary work. Backed by KJR Studios in collaboration with PhantomFX, the movie’s editing responsibilities rest in the capable hands of Nirav Shah and Ruben.

As the countdown to ‘Ayalaan’s’ cinematic voyage begins, enthusiasts eagerly await the visual spectacle promising an unforgettable cinematic escapade into the realms of science fiction.
