Sivakarthikeyan expresses gratitude towards Rajinikanth for appreciating Maaveeran

Kollywood actor Sivakarthikeyan has been basking the success of his latest release Maaveeran. The actor took to social media to reveal that he received a call from Rajinikanth who applauded the former for his performance in the superhero-action entertainer.

Sivakarthikeyan took to social media and dropped a video of him expressing gratitude towards the love Maaveeran received by the audience. He also added that there is another reason to share the video and opened up about Rajinikanth watching his film as he said, “Superstar Rajinikanth watched my film and called me to wish. It was a special feeling not only for me but also for my entire team. For me, it is very very special. Despite the audio launch and release of Jailer, I thought he might miss out on my film due to his hectic schedule. But despite all of it, he took the time out to watch my film and he called me, and not just me but he wished my entire team – Thalaiva you are always great.”

In the video, he recalled the words Rajinikanth told him, “Rajinikanth said, ‘Siva, I completely enjoyed it. It was truly very grand and your performance was super. The story was very different. You like to choose different stories, don’t you, he asked me.’” Sivakarthikeyan too responded to the appreciation in the video as he sent a message to the megastar saying, “His words gave me goosebumps, I was that thrilled. Thank you so much Thalaiva. I am a big admirer of you. I am in films because of you and have celebrated your films always. For me, your appreciation was a lifetime moment.”

Maaveran is a superhero action drama directed by Madonne Ashwin. The film features Aditi Shankar as the leading lady alongside Sivakarthikeyan and it released in theatres on July 14.
