Lady Superstar Nayanthara takes centre stage in “Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food,” a recent cinematic offering directed by debutant Nilesh Krishnaa, which navigates the world of culinary dreams and personal obstacles.

OTT Debut and Multilingual Arrival:

Following its earlier release with mixed-to-positive critical reception, the slice-of-life film featuring Jai, Sathyraj, and a stellar ensemble is set to premiere on Netflix across multiple languages – Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada – on December 29th, 2023.

The streaming partner announced the much-awaited OTT release via a tweet, inviting audiences to indulge in a delectable cinematic experience with Nayanthara, stating, “Unga vayirum manasum neraika oru delicious movie oda varanga namma Lady Superstar.”

The Journey of Annapoorani:

The narrative unfolds the journey of Annapoorani, an aspiring chef aspiring to master culinary arts, including non-vegetarian cuisines. Traversing a life shaped by orthodox Brahmin beliefs and her father’s role as a temple priest in Srirangam, her vegetarian upbringing presents a poignant struggle against her culinary aspirations.

Apart from Nayanthara’s captivating performance, the film features a supporting cast including Achyuth Kumar, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsley, and more. The movie is jointly bankrolled by Jatin Sethi, R. Ravindran under Zee Studios, Naad Sstudios, and Trident Arts.

Thaman S’s musical brilliance accompanies the narrative, complemented by Sathyan Sooryan’s cinematography and Praveen Anthony’s editing.

In a prolific year, Nayanthara marked her Hindi debut in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Jawan,” directed by Atlee, achieving significant success at the box office.
