The remastered version of Simhadri, presented in 4K, witnessed a strong opening at the box office. However, the excitement quickly turned into chaos as a fire broke out in Apsara Theatre in Vijayawada, where a group of Jr. NTR fans ignited crackers during the screening.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showcasing the unfortunate turn of events. The front rows of the theatre were engulfed in flames, leading to the cancellation of the show. Prompt police intervention ensured the safe evacuation of the audience and brought the situation under control.
Following the incident, Jr. NTR’s fans took to social media platforms to express their disappointment and concern over the reckless behaviour displayed by a few individuals.
