Priyamani, who is enjoying the success of her latest film, “Maidaan,” recently opened up about a difficult chapter in her life—the experience of being trolled after her marriage to Mustafa Raj. In an interview with Galatta India, the versatile actor disclosed how she and her family dealt with the storm of criticism directed at her marriage.

Reflecting on the impact of the backlash, Priyamani admitted, “To be honest, it did affect me, not just me, but also my family, especially my parents.” However, she credited her husband, Mustafa Raj, for her unwavering support. Recalling his words of encouragement, she shared, “He said, ‘Look, whatever happens, I will let everything come to me first. But all I would say is hold my hand and be with me through every step.'”

Priyamani expressed gratitude for her husband’s steadfastness, highlighting their mutual commitment to weathering any storm together. “We have taken the step together and decided to spend the rest of our lives. So come hail, come storm, come sunshine, we will walk the path together,” she affirmed.

Despite the challenges, Priyamani and Mustafa Raj remained resilient, finding solace and strength in each other’s company. “It did upset me, but at that time I wasn’t in Mumbai, I was in Bangalore with my husband. We took care of everything and didn’t let it hinder my parents also,” she explained.

Looking beyond the tumultuous period, Priyamani emphasized the importance of familial support and blessings. “Their blessings and prayers have taken us a long way,” she acknowledged.

In her recent cinematic endeavours, Priyamani showcased her talent in diverse roles, starring opposite Ajay Devgn in “Maidaan,” playing a crucial part in Yami Gautam’s “Article 370,” and contributing to Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan.” She is set to appear in the upcoming series “The Family Man 3,” alongside Manoj Bajpayee, Sharib Hashmi, and Sharad Kelkar, promising audiences more of her exceptional performances.
