Vijay’s Varisu will be accessible on Amazon Prime Video on February 22, 2023. Vamsi Paidipally’s film is set to have its digital premiere this month. It will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Varisu garnered mixed reviews, however it was well accepted by the family audience. The film has so far grossed over Rs 250 crore globally.

According to reports, the OTT rights of Thalapathy Vijay’s film have been sold to digital streaming giant Amazon Prime Video for a large sum. According to Insiders, The film will be accessible at the platform on February 22, 2023. However, both the creators and the OTT giant have yet to confirm.

Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, chronicles an honest son’s quest to save his family when their family business is turned down by a strong villain. According to reports, Amazon Prime Video paid a large fee for the OTT rights to the Thalapathy Vijay film.

The film is a family drama that provides friendly entertainment. Rashmika Mandanna, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shaam, Samyuktha, Sangeetha Krish, Yogi Babu, SJ Suryah, and Ganesh Venkataraman were all key characters. S Thaman composed the film’s songs, which became chartbusters. The Telugu version of the film competed with prominent names like Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya.

She added “The story and its narrative is such, the moment I heard it, I was sure it will definitely connect with the family audiences, which was an instant yes for me. And the cherry on the cake was working with Vijay sir, which was a dream opportunity come true.”

Meanwhile, Vijay has begun work on his next project, Thalapathy 67. The film features Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, and Mansoor Ali Khan, among others, and is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music for it.
