Salman Khan says ‘People want to go to Hollywood, I want to go to the South’

GodFather starring Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan is gearing up for its grand release in Telugu and Hindi on the 5th of this month on Dussehra. The promotions are in full swing for the movie. Recently, the film’s Telugu trailer was unveiled to a humongous response. Today, they released the Hindi trailer of the movie grandly in presence of Chiranjeevi, Salman Khan, Satya Dev and a few others in Mumbai. At the trailer launch, Salman Khan talked about how he wants to do more South films and bring that crowd to Hindi films as well.

He said, “See, people want to go to Hollywood, I want to go to the South. The thing is that once we all start working together, just imagine the numbers that we’ll have. People watch it here, people watch it in the South, you have all the theatres. You know fans go and watch me, my fans become his fans, his fans become my fans,so just everyone grows and grows and grows, the numbers become very large. People talk about Rs 300-400 crores, like this, if we all get together then we’ll cross Rs 3000-4000 crores.”

He said that the audience is accepting of South actors in the north belt but they don’t usually accept Bollywood actors.

Chiranjeevi will be seen as Brahma and the GodFather. Salman plays a henchman in the movie. Nayanthara and Satya Dev too have pivotal roles. Nirav Shah is the cinematographer; S Thaman does the background score. The production design of Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films is first class. Directed by Mohan Raja, the film arrives in theatres on October 5, 2022
