Actress Trisha, who recently reclaimed the spotlight with her stellar performance in the Ponniyin Selvan series, seems to be facing a slight hiccup in her much-anticipated return to the Tollywood industry. Initially, Trisha was slated to make a grand comeback with a high-profile project alongside megastar Chiranjeevi, under the direction of Kalyan Krishna. The film, envisioned as a heartwarming family drama, was eagerly awaited by fans who were keen to witness the reunion of the successful pair on screen.
However, according to recent developments, it seems that the project is experiencing a delay, pushing Trisha’s Tollywood comeback a bit further down the line. “The film’s launch is being postponed, necessitating Trisha to extend her wait before making a splash in the Tollywood scene once again,” revealed a source close to the development. This would mark the first collaboration between Trisha and Chiranjeevi since their 2006 film ‘Stalin’, creating a buzz of anticipation among fans.
Despite this setback, Trisha’s schedule remains bustling with commitments in the Kollywood industry. The actress has recently concluded shooting for ‘Leo’, a project helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and featuring Thalapathy Vijay in a prominent role. Furthermore, Trisha is engaged with several other Tamil projects, maintaining a strong presence in the industry.
Interestingly, the grapevine is abuzz with news that Trisha might reunite with Chiranjeevi on screen after a gap of 17 years, offering a glimmer of hope to fans eager for their collaboration. “The initial plan was to craft a narrative centered around a father-son dynamic, with Trisha portraying the role of Chiranjeevi’s wife. However, Chiranjeevi is now contemplating a shift in direction, possibly collaborating with director V V Vinayak for a mass action entertainer,” the source further added, hinting at a potential change in the trajectory of the project.
