The Twists and Turns Behind Prabhas Starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’

The release of the romantic drama film ‘Radhe Shyam‘ in 2022, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, garnered significant attention, but the journey to create this film was filled with unexpected twists and turns.

The original script for ‘Radhe Shyam’ did not involve a love story, and interestingly, Prabhas was not the first choice for the lead role.

The initial choice for the film’s lead role was Daggubati Venkatesh, also known as Victory Venkatesh. When Venkatesh received the screenplay, it primarily revolved around a palmist without any love story or additional plot. However, reports suggest that Venkatesh turned down the film because he was not satisfied with the second half of the script.

Following Venkatesh’s rejection, the film’s director, Radha Krishna Kumar, crafted a new storyline and presented it to Prabhas. The Baahubali star was impressed by the new narrative, and the film eventually went into production. Prabhas portrayed the character of Vikramaditya, the world’s most powerful palmist, in ‘Radhe Shyam.’

The Plot of ‘Radhe Shyam’ ‘Radhe Shyam’ revolves around a unique and magical concept involving palmistry. The story is centred on Vikramaditya, portrayed by Prabhas, who eventually falls in love with Prerana, played by Pooja Hegde. The film also features Prabhas’ uncle, Krishnam Raju, in a significant role.

Additional Details about ‘Radhe Shyam’ The film’s cinematography was handled by Manoj Paramahamsa, and the editing was done by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The music for the Telugu version was composed by Justin Prabhakaran, while the Hindi version featured music by Mithoon, Manan Bhardwaj, and Amaal Mallik. The background score for the Telugu version was created by S. Thaman, and the Hindi version featured Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara.

Prabhas’ Upcoming Projects Prabhas has an exciting lineup of projects ahead. ‘Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire’ is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 22, 2023, and will be available in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam dubbed versions. The film, directed by Prashanth Neel, stars Shruthi Hassan alongside Prabhas. His other upcoming films include ‘Spirit,’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ directed by Nag Ashwin.
