The much-anticipated Thalapathy Vijay-starrer ‘G.O.A.T‘ helmed by Venkat Prabhu is presently in full swing with its shooting pace in Chennai. As per reports, the current filming schedule is set to continue for two more weeks before shifting gears to Rajasthan in February for the subsequent shoot. Following this, the team will embark on two international schedules encompassing locales such as Sri Lanka and Istanbul. The film is anticipated to hit screens in the Summer of 2024.

With Thalapathy Vijay portraying a dual role and Venkat Prabhu steering the project, ‘G.O.A.T’ has garnered substantial attention since its inception. The recent unveiling of its first and second looks has only intensified discussions, fueling speculations about the film’s premise.

Initial conjecture around the movie hinted at a potential remake of the 2012 sci-fi film ‘Looper,’ starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Additionally, the newly released visuals have sparked rumours aligning the Vijay starrer with the narrative of the Will Smith-Ang Lee movie ‘Gemini Man.’

‘Looper’ orbits around “loopers,” contemporary contract killers dispatched through time by future criminal syndicates to eliminate targets in the past. In contrast, ‘Gemini Man’ follows a retired Marine scout sniper pursued by a younger clone of himself while evading a private military company’s clutches.

Delving deeper into ‘G.O.A.T,’ the ensemble cast includes Mic Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Jayaram, Meenakshii Chaudhary, and Yogi Babu. Venkat Prabhu’s trusted collaborators like Premgi, Vaibhav, Aravind Aakash, and Ajay Raj are also part of this anticipated project.

Renowned musician Yuvan Shankar Raja spearheads the film’s music, while Siddhartha Nuni and Venkat Raajen are managing cinematography and editing, respectively.

The film’s captivating narrative, coupled with the esteemed cast and crew, heightens the audience’s anticipation for ‘G.O.A.T,’ promising a cinematic spectacle bound to captivate viewers upon its theatrical release.
