Reports swirling in the industry suggest that Australian actress Chandrika Ravi is poised to step into Silk Smitha’s shoes in this highly anticipated film, directed by Jayaram.
Chandrika Ravi, known for her roles in films like ‘Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu’ and her recent appearance in the Telugu action drama ‘Veera Simha Reddy,’ is set to take on this challenging role. This biopic comes as another homage to Silk Smitha, following director Milan Luthria’s acclaimed movie ‘The Dirty Picture.’ Released on December 2, 2011, on Silk Smitha’s birth anniversary, ‘The Dirty Picture’ featured Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, and Tusshar Kapoor, chronicling aspects of her eventful life journey.
