Shaakuntalam, the highly anticipated mythological film starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is all set to release on April 14. The makers arranged special premier shows for selected audiences, journalists and critics, and it looks like the film has managed to impress the viewers.

Samantha’s portrayal of Shakuntala is being hailed as outstanding, with audiences praising her performance in emotional scenes and romantic sequences. Allu Arha, who makes her debut with the film, has also been praised for her screen presence and dialogues. Dev Mohan, who plays Dushyant, has caught the audience’s attention with his first acting stint.

The Hollywood-level filming and direction by Gunasekhar have also been lauded by the audiences. While the first reviews are promising, it remains to be seen if the theatrical release will receive the same reception.

Samantha expressed her excitement over the positive reviews and stated that she can’t wait for the audience to watch the film in theatres.
