Priya Varrier reveals ‘viral wink’ in Oru Adaar Love was her idea; upsets director Omar Lulu

Malayalam actress Priya Varrier is known to the nation, as she had gained fame as the ‘wink girl’ from Oru Adaar Love, seems to have left the director of the film upset with her recent statement.

In a recent interview, when the actress was asked about the famous viral song which gained massive fandom for the actress was the ‘wink’ sequence from the song, ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’, Priya stated that it was her ‘idea’.

Director Omar Lulu was not happy about it as he shared another clip in which the actress is claiming otherwise. Posting it on social media, the filmmaker asked her to get treated for her memory loss.

In a video posted by Omar Lulu, the first portion of the video features a recent interview of Priya Varrier wherein the host asked, “Whose input was it to add the ‘wink’ – was it yours or the directors?” Priya responded to the host’s question saying, “It was my idea”.

Attached to this was another video. The clip featured an old interview of Priya at the time of Oru Adaar Love promotions, wherein the actress was seen answering to a similar question saying, “Roshan (Abdul Rahoof) always gave naughty expressions wherein he gives those impish expressions and looks at you with raised eyebrows. Then all these people asked me if I could do it. I said I will try and then later, they asked me to add a wink to it too. That’s how it happened.”

Sharing the videos, Omar slammed the actress in his caption as he wrote in Malayalam, “It’s been 5 years now. May be the poor girl forgot. Valiya Chandanadi (medicine) is the best for memory loss.”
