Ponniyin Selvan 2 grosses Rs 300 crore worldwide
Lyca Productions announced that Ponniyin Selvan 2 have grossed Rs 300 crore, the film was directed Mani Ratnam.

Mani Ratnam’s Magnum Opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 was released on April 28. The film has grossed Rs 300 crore globally. The film features an ensemble cast featuring Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Karthik, and Jayam Ravi in key roles.
The first instalment of the film was released last year becoming the highest Tamil grosser ever, to surpass Kamal Haasan’s Vikram. Lyca Production took to Twitter and wrote, , “#PS2 continues conquering the box office worldwide with a 300 crore+ collection!” they even shared posters which had ‘300+ cr worldwide gross in cinemas worldwide’ were written on them.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is a cinematic adaptation of author Kalki Krishnamurthy’s Tamil novel of the same name which was released in the form of a series during the 1950s. It marks the third collaboration of Aishwarya and Vikram after their critically acclaimed film Raavan in 2010.
