On the occasion of Ram Navami, a new poster for the upcoming film Adipurush was released featuring Prabhas as Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Sunny Singh as Laxman. The poster showed the three actors standing together, while Hanuman knelt before them. Prabhas shared the poster on Instagram with the caption “Mantron se badhke tera naam, Jai Shri Ram” and added the hashtags – Jai Shri Ram, Ram Navmi, and Adipurush. However, the poster received criticism on social media with many users expressing disappointment in the adaptation.

Despite the criticism, Adipurush, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, Om, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, is set to release in theaters on June 16 in 3D. The movie is a multilingual period saga based on the Hindu epic Ramayana and features Prabhas as Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh.
