Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep, who recently garnered immense popularity after the release of his pan-Indian film, Vikrant Rona, has reportedly made headlines for his foray into politics ahead of the Karnataka election. According to reports, the actor is likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and campaign for Karnataka ahead of the elections. Although there has been no official statement on this matter yet, the actor is expected to make a grand announcement in a press conference on April 5, along with the Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Sudeep, who enjoys a massive fan base among Kannada audiences, is taking a break from films after Vikrant Rona. Recently, the actor shared a note on Twitter, where he expressed the need for a break after working on the strenuous project amidst a severe Covid time. He added that he spent his break time enjoying cricket with KCC and KB, and locked three scripts for his upcoming movies. Although Sudeep didn’t reveal much about the films, he assured his fans that announcements would be made soon.
It remains to be seen if the actor will indeed join the BJP or any other party and how it will affect his career in films. Nonetheless, the actor’s fans eagerly await his upcoming projects and his big political announcement.
