In a heartwarming tale of love and resilience, veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi surprised the world when he embraced his second marriage at the age of 57 with entrepreneur Rupali Barua earlier this year. Their union, sealed through a court marriage, was an intimate affair attended by close family and friends. However, since the wedding, the couple has faced a barrage of online trolling and negativity.
Months after their wedding, Ashish and Rupali shared their thoughts on dealing with the trolls and the negative comments they encountered on social media. In an interview with Behindwoods TV, the couple candidly discussed their experiences.
Rupali Barua displayed a remarkable level of resilience when faced with online criticism. She expressed her indifference to the negativity, saying, “I did not give a damn to it because of those people I don’t know. They have seen something that is very unobvious, especially for normal people. Because they don’t know about it.” Rupali further emphasized that they had no intentions of offering clarifications to the naysayers. She stated, “It didn’t affect me so much because I didn’t read the comments so much. My close ones are supporting me, I don’t need any other validation.”
Ashish Vidyarthi echoed a similar sentiment, emphasizing the importance of love and affection over the need to prove a point. He conveyed, “Two things with love and affection – you don’t need to prove a point. We both were not out there to prove any point. No upset, no anger, but do something that makes you happy.”
Rupali Barua added, “Being given this opportunity by the universe is a big thing. Any other thing is small. I know what I have been missing. To find a companion at this age is a blessing. That blessing is so big that everything else, the negativity, is blurred.”
Ashish Vidyarthi, a versatile actor, has left an indelible mark in the world of cinema with a career spanning over 300 films in 11 languages. His contributions to Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Odia, Marathi, and Bengali cinema have solidified his prominence.
As they embark on this new journey together, Ashish Vidyarthi and Rupali Barua remain steadfast in their love, undeterred by the negativity that briefly clouded their happiness. Their story serves as a testament to the power of genuine affection and companionship, proving that love can triumph over adversity.
