The trailer of Nivetha Thomas and Regina Cassandra’s action comedy Saakini Daakini just dropped

The makers of Nivetha Thomas and Regina Cassandra’s forthcoming action comedy Saakini Daakini have released the gripping trailer from the Telugu flick. The clip shows these two finding their way into a men’s world. Directed by filmmaker Sudheer Varma of Swamy Ra Ra fame, the project is an official remake of the 2017 South Korean film, Midnight Runners. The film tells the story of two students at a police academy, who end up busting a gang of human traffickers.

Although it deals with a heavy subject, from the trailer it seems like the movie has managed to keep a light tone with its comic scenes. While Nivetha Thomas will essay the role of Shalini in Saakini Daakini, Regina Cassandra will be seen as Damini. The former is a total rebel and foodie, and the latter keeps everything clean due to her obsessive-compulsive needs. The two actresses will also be seen doing some high-octane action sequences in the film.

This highly-awaited drama will be hitting the silver screens on the 16th of September. The venture was previously anticipated to get a direct OTT release but now it looks like the makers have finally decided on a theatrical release. Jointly produced by the production houses Suresh Productions, Guru Films, and Kross Pictures, Richard Prasad is the cinematographer for the flick. In addition to this, Viplav Nyshadam has looked after the editing department of the movie.
