Thalapathy Vijay, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Prabhas, Chiranjeevi, to come together in the BIGGEST CLASH ever in South cinema

Today, the makers of Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer NBK107 announced the title of the film. The Shruti Haasan starrer has been titled Veer Simha Reddy and it will hit the big screens in Sankranti 2023. Interestingly, three other major releases have been scheduled for the same date which includes Mega 154 starring Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, Prabhas starrer Adipurush, and Thalapathy Vijay starrer Varisu. While the releases were keen on cashing on the festive time, it seems that South cinema is all set to experience one of its biggest clashes ever with four superstars hitting the theatres on the same date.

Coming to Veer Simha Reddy, the film features Nandamuri Balakrishna alongside Shruti Haasan. Earlier referred to as NBK107, the film is touted to be a mass-action entertainer. Shruti Haasan is playing the leading lady in this project which is expected to be made on large scale under Mythri Movie Makers and it also stars Duniya Vijay, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Chandrika Ravi, among others from the ensemble cast.

On the other hand, Mega154 is a yet-to-be titled. The film will bring together two big names in Telugu cinema. One is the megastar Chiranjeevi and the other is the popular star Ravi Teja. Interestingly, this film too has Shruti Haasan playing the leading lady. It is too touted to be an action drama featuring Chiranjeevi as a smuggler and Ravi as a cop. Yet again, produced under Mythri Movie Makers, the film is directed by filmmaker Bobby.

Speaking of Varisu, the film is a bilingual featuring Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna for the first time. The film, which is also titled Vaarasudu in Telugu, has an extensive cast ensemble that includes Prabhu, Jayasudha, Sarathkumar, Khushbu, Srikanth, Shaam, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha, Prakash Raj and Yogi Babu are in the cast. The film is directed by Vamshi Paidipally.

Talking about Adipurush, the film is a Pan India film with extensive VFX that retells the epic battle of Ramayana. While Prabhas features the role of Ram, Kriti Sanon plays Seeta whereas Saif Ali Khan plays Lankeshwar aka Raavan in this Om Raut directorial. While a teaser was released recently, the film is expected to release on January 12, 2023.
