SS Rajamouli’s RRR to release in Japan on October 21

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli once garnered a hit after the release of RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. The filmmaker was recently busy hosting several screenings for film in the US to continue the Oscars 2023 buzz. The film got immense love in India, and also appreciation from the West. But, the Film Federation of India snubbed RRR for India’s official entry as Best International Feature. But, RRR has been submitted in 15 categories for consideration. Meanwhile, the filmmaker and the actors have flown to Japan for the much-awaited premiere and release.

As per a report by Mid-Day, the makers plan to host two premieres for RRR in Tokyo on October 21 and 22, respectively. Ram Charan and Jr. NTR are expected to attend the same with Rajamouli. The team is expecting a turnout of thousands of fans. Following the screenings, a few fan meet-ups and interactions with media are also on the cards in order to keep up the Oscars 2023 buzz. It will be week-long promotions with the team expected to talk about the film, the success, the challenges faced during filming and more.

RRR has been submitted in multiple categories including Best Motion Picture, Best Director (S.S. Rajamouli), Best Actor for Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, Best Supporting Actor (Ajay Devgn), Best Supporting Actress (Alia Bhatt), Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’, Best Original Screenplay (S.S. Rajamouli, V. Vijayendra Prasad, Sai Madhav Burra). Best Original Score (M.M. Keeravaani), Best Film Editing (Sreekar Prasad), Best Sound, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Visual Effects.

RRR is a multi-starrer action drama, starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt, and is amongst the most acclaimed Indian films of the year. The film brings together the finest performances, action, artwork, and visuals, along with a storyline that kept viewers thoroughly entertained.
