Mrunal Thakur In A Tuxedo With A Bow Tie Ditches Gown

There are pantsuits and there are suits. The former you’ve seen plenty of all through Bollywood. Celebrities, from Tamannaah Bhatia to Sonakshi Sinha have taken their turn in a pantsuit, be in in a bright shade or even sans a shirt inside. But then there are suits. Of course you’ve seen the likes of Siddharth Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor rocking their suits on the red carpet but they aren’t as commonly chosen by female celebrities in Bollywood. Reason being they can’t be pulled off as easily as a pantsuit can. But ever so often a celebrity comes along who challenges the norm and rocks the androgynous garment. Sonam Kapoor has done it in the past and this time, it’s Mrunal Thakur who took up the challenge.

At the recent Filmfare 2022 Awards, most of the celebrity attendees choses flowing gowns and mini dresses. Mrunal decided to do one better and borrowed from the boys by opting for a suit. Styled by celebrity stylist Rahul Vijay, Mrunal sported a custom made black tuxedo by Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna. It featured a classic black tuxedo blazer worn with a white shirt which had black buttons. Tying the look together was black bow tie around her neck.

Mrunal’s outfit featured flared black trousers, which she wore with a pair of peep toes. For accessories, she added studded earrings and a matching brooch. Mrunal Thakur didn’t just wear the pants at this awards function but the whole darn suit as well.
