Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios bags Hindi rights of Suriya and Disha Patani film at Rs 100 crores!
According to news reports, producer Dr Jayantilal Gada has acquired rights of the film that is tentatively titled Suriya 42 in Hindi for Rs 100 crores for the movie’s Hindi version.

According to news reports, producer Dr Jayantilal Gada has acquired rights of the film that is tentatively titled Suriya 42 in Hindi for Rs 100 crores for the movie’s Hindi version.
Suriya is currently shooting for a film with director Siva, opposite Disha Patani as the lead actress. As per latest reports, the theatrical and digital rights of the film, which is tentatively titled Suriya 42, have been bagged by Dr Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios, as per a report in PinkVilla.
The portal quoted a source saying, “Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios) has acquired the Hindi rights of Suriya 42 for a sum of Rs 100 crore. This is the biggest buy till date for a Suriya film in Hindi as also one of the biggest buys till date for a Pan-India film from the Tamil Film Industry. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make a massive reincarnation-based action adventure, set in past and present, which appeals to audience all across, and have found their ideal partner in Jayantilal Gada.”
The source further added, “In technical terms, the filmmaker has acquired the Hindi Negative Rights of Suriya 42. Conventionally, Suriya’s films have done well in the satellite market in Hindi belts, and his next being a mega budget film, has fetched good offers from various satellite and digital partners”.
In September, the team had announced that the film will be shot in 3D and will be released in 10 languages, thereby making it a Pan-World film.
Suriya recently walked out of his project Vanangaan. He will soon be beginning his shoot for the film Vaadivaasal with director Vetrimaaran. He is also expected to join the Lokesh Cinematic Universe for the film that Lokesh Kanagaraj is directing based on the character of Rolex that appeared in the film Vikram.
