Hansika Motwani weds Sohael Kathuriya at Mundota Fort in Jaipur
For months, rumours were rife that actress Hansika Motwani, who extensively works in South cinema and grew up in TV and films as a child actor, was tying the knot this year.

For months, rumours were rife that actress Hansika Motwani, who extensively works in South cinema and grew up in TV and films as a child actor, was tying the knot this year. But, the actress maintained privacy around her partner who isn’t from the industry. The actress announced her engagement to her close friend and business partner Sohael Kathuriya in October and finally got married in a traditional ceremony on December 4. The venue of the wedding was Mundota Fort and the palace in Jaipur.
The pre-wedding festivities began with Mata Ki Chowki in Mumbai followed by ceremonies in Jaipur. They had a Sufi night organized on December 2 followed by Mehendi, and sangeet on December 3. The Haldi ceremony was on Sunday followed by the wedding. Several pictures and videos have surfaced online.
Hansika Motwani wore a traditional red lehenga while posing with her bride squad. Sohael wore an ivory sherwani for the ceremony. The theme of the wedding was derby and pastels. The after-wedding party was casino themed which was held on December 4th night.
Hansika Motwani began her career as a child actor in Hindi TV shows and films like Shaka Laka Boom Boom and Koi Mil Gaya, respectively. She later went on to star in Telugu films including Desamuduru (2007), Kantri (2008) and Maska (2009). She starred in Tamil films like Mappillai (2011). Then she appeared in several commercially successful Tamil films such as Engeyum Kadhal (2011), Velayudham (2011), Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012), Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (2013), Singam II (2013) and Aranmanai (2014).
